The Ten Thousand Doors of January

We not only love reading books, but we love reading books about books as well. We have compiled a list of recent releases as well as a few upcoming ones that we are very excited about.

The Binding by Bridget Collins

A very different take on books, this story involves a man who discovers who he is, what magic and curiosities book binding involves and a mystery that involves his memory and a forgotten past. This author’s writing is addictive!

The Library of Lost and Found by Phaedra Patrick

This is such a charming story that we think so many people will relate to. Our main character is a librarian who masks her loneliness by doing good deeds for others. Her story involves family mishaps, a book of fairy tales, a mystery and fixing past mistakes.

For Emily by Katherine Slee - release date 5th Seotember

This sweet read features a shy protagonist who is a childrens illustrator. Her world turns upside down when her grandmother dies and leaves a trail of clues that Emily will have to be brave enough to follow to find the treasure, having adventures of her own rather than seeing them through the books she illustrates.

The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow – release date 12th September

There is so much hype around this book we just had to include it on our list.

If you love historical fiction, fairy tales and Narnia then this might be the perfect match for you. Secret doors and worlds, stories within stories and a coming of age novel…this sounds like our cup of tea!

The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes – release date 3rd October

A book about encouraging people to read? Yes please!

Set in 1930’s America, a group of women create a group to spread the love of reading to poor and isolated people. Based on a true story, these incredible women trekked alone through vast areas to make this happen, forging friendships and overcoming their fears.
